“Unsay ICTSAA, bai?” This is the usual question that students ask during the peak season of December and January. If you are a fan of UAAP, NCAA, or any athletic involvement that includes universities and colleges, then ICTSAA is the Iligan version for that.    The Iligan City Tertiary Schools Athletic Association (ICTSAA) is composed of MSU-IIT, St. Peter’s College, Iligan Medical Center College, Lyceum of Iligan Foundation, Inc., Mindanao Sanitarium and Hospital College of Medical Arts Foundation Inc., Iligan Capitol College and of course,St. Michael’s College. ICTSAA now on its 8th Season still promotes the beauty of competing with other local academic institutions through Sports Competitions, Literary Finesse and Cultural Presentations.

ICTSAA is not so much of an interest for the general population because of the failure to advertise or maybe just because of apathy. But in our school, we don’t want that to happen. So we ask all the students from all year levels and departments to take part in this huge event where our own school, St. Michael’s College is sure to be in the BIG 3, as past performance records would tell.  

Worth to mention, SMC Archangel’s Basketball Varsity Team has been doing the best, hence from 2007 up to the last year, the team remained to be the champion of the said sports category. Thanks to the sustained support of the Administration, the CSG-KASAPI as well as the Students’ Affairs Office headed by Ms. Pamela G. Dalman and of course to their coach, Mr. Jet Reyes.

Truly, it’s a distinction of the Michaelites when it comes to sports.  

Will SMC be the CHAMPION again this year? Well, let’s wait and see!
